W.S.Connelly & Co, Inc. Green Initiative

In recent years, the Green phenomenon has reached nearly every sector of American culture. Being Green means different things to different industries, and often times, unfortunately it is a catch phrase that businesses lean on to direct sales. Yet, in the "green industry," it has become an increasingly well defined movement.

Environmental Construction Solutions. is proud to be a leader in protecting our environment as well as working hard to protect our customers business. While we are constantly working hard to develop, test and market "green products," we are working equally hard to provide a platform for education and raising awareness based on the science of our industry.

The benefits of Environmental Construction Solutions. green initiative include raising tens of thousands of dollars for local, state and regional associations to facilitate in the education and development of green products and services. Benefits also include the awareness of specific organizations that can help facilitate the lobbying of why our industry, when stewarded correctly, can not only protect the environment but also enhance it.

Green Products

Invisible Structures:
Invisible Structures product portfolio is applicable for LEED certification credits. Most notably are their products developed for site sustainability and water quality efficiency. Invisible Structures reduce water runoff, recycle groundwater, and minimizes land disturbance. They also provide land space that would otherwise be used for a retention pond, now being used for land development.

Environmental Construction Solutions proprietary family of organic fertilizers. Understanding the importance of the environment, organicsPLUS (Link to granular fertilizers)provides a great answer to not only the science of agronomics, yet also the science of the environment. Blended with Ocean Gro organics, organicsPLUS contains a minimum of 50% organics, micronutrients and XRT slow release technology. Meaning, less applications with great turf response. organicsPLUS can feed upto 12 weeks.

New and improved technology for the turf and horticulture market. XRT offers a consistent 12 week (3 month) release of Nitrogen. XRT uses innovative polymer resin to provide a temperature-dependent nutrient release. As temperatures warm, urea nitrogen is released at a consistent rate to match the nutrient demand of the turf. After complete release, the polymer decomposes into naturally occurring compounds.

Turf Managers know the critical role that soil Ph plays in soil health and turf quality. Optimal soil pH is a major factor in nutrient availability, microbial activity, soil structure and overall tuff vigor. Maintaining the correct soil pH allows for the most efficient use of applied and soil stored nutrients. The Solu-Cal family of calcium and sulfur products allow turf managers to quickly and efficiently address soil chemistry problems. Our entire family of Solu-Cal products contain pHCa Technology.

RISE: Facts about pests, the threats they pose to health and safety and how pesticides used to control insects, weeds and pathogens can be used safely and responsibly. Brought to you by RISE, a national trade association of manufacturers, formulators, distributors and other industry leaders involved with specialty pesticide and fertilizer products. The association also monitors legislative and regulatory issues in Washington, D.C. and in the states. On many issues, RISE partners with CropLife America.

Project Evergreen: Green spaces are a great benefit to our environment. They filter pollutants and dust from the air, they provide shade and lower temperatures in urban areas, and they even reduce erosion of soil into our waterways. These are just a few of the environmental benefits that green spaces provide.
